Position: Traffic Engineer (San Diego Area)
Work from home but must be based in the greater Southern California area.
We are seeking a skilled Traffic Engineer with a passion for designing and overseeing transportation projects that improve mobility and safety for streets, highways, and freeways. This role is ideal for engineers who excel in traffic analysis, transportation planning, and delivering impactful design solutions in municipal and state environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and manage traffic engineering projects for streets, highways, and freeways in collaboration with municipal and state agencies.

Perform traffic analysis, studies, and preliminary engineering for transportation projects.

Develop final design plans, including traffic signals, Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), lighting, signing, pavement markings, traffic handling, and construction sequencing.

Ensure project success by working closely with local agencies and adhering to jurisdictional standards.
What We’re Looking For:

Experience: Proven experience working in the local state and municipal environment in the San Diego area.

Education: Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering.

Licensing: Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or a strong desire to obtain licensure.

Skills: Proficiency in MicroStation and AutoCAD, with a strong enthusiasm for mastering and applying these tools.
